Winter 2011 Lookbook
As our winter collection arrives in store, we pulled together some of our favourite pieces and headed outside to make sure what we’re loving passed the outdoor temperature test. Here are some of our top looks that make cold-weather dressing easy on the eyes.
From long and sleek coats to cozy knits (think cable-knits, crewnecks, turtlenecks and oversized cardigans), silky dresses, blouses and tunics to workwear-inspired pieces, winter is all about layering to achieve an of-the-moment look that’ll keep you warm.

Banish your winter blues by donning vividly coloured pieces that pop. Contrast the bright orangey red cashmere and angora blend Talula Leighton Crewneck Sweater with the faded grazer-length Current/Elliott Stiletto Pant in Grey Leopard. To keep the cold at bay, we've finished the look with the heavyweight (dense without being bulky) Italian virgin wool and cashmere Wilfred Nationale Coat with a removable sherpa collar.

A lush cable-knit sweater (an important piece to add to your wardrobe this season) in pure alpaca wool, this fitted Wilfred Edinburgh Crewneck Sweater has two side slits, so that it sits flattering on the hip.

Sweater coats are a cold-weather favourite of ours. There's so much to love about this ankle-length T.Babaton Sloane Sweater Coat woven using a luxe merino wool and cashmere blend. Layer this statement sweater over the baby-rib wool and cashmere T.Babaton Keaton Turtleneck--a warm, slim-to-the-body piece.

The beautiful sheer silk georgette Wilfred Tiphaine Tunic Dress, with a colourblocked placket, stays sleek with a single flounce down the front. Wear it over a bralette and show peeks of skin or over the Wilfred Silk Slip. On cold winter days, layer with the oversized alpaca and merino wool blend Wilfred Pépé Cardigan and the Italian virgin wool and cashmere Wilfred Robe Coat.

Inspired by the Silk Road, this robe-like Wilfred Monsieur Drapey Trench Coat is completely unlined and unstructured, for a fluid drape, and cut from drapey lyocell with a matching removable belt. Contrast this feminine piece with the faux leather Wilfred Van Dusen Pant (with stretchy fabric panels) and the Wilfred Silk Camisole.

We're all over workwear-inspired pieces this winter. The TNA Ambush Shirt was inspired by an authentic vintage piece. It may look tough, but has a super soft hand thanks to the brushed flannel fabric. Stay warm and cozy by wearing the TNA Lambswool Pop Cardigan in Blanket Stripe that has an oversized, longer-in-the-body fit over top. Worn with the super warm TNA Bancroft Knee-Length Parka and J Brand 811 Mid-rise Skinny Jeans.

Inspired by the designer's own vintage military jacket, this cotton nylon TNA Britannia Knee-Length Parka has a special coating to keep moisture and the cold out. The inner lining, made from cozy wool, is removable. Worn over the TNA Boyfriend Fit Denim Shirt, which are all individually washed by hand to give each piece a unique, distressed wash, and the Nordic-inspired TNA Katla Leggings.

Cable-knit and crewneck sweaters made a major comeback this season and the fitted T.Babaton Hugh Sweater gets the look right on both counts. Wear this warm cashmere and wool piece layered over the bias-cut T.Babaton Silk Tank (with special loops inside the straps to keep your bra in place) and the grazer-length T.Babaton Elliot Pant in Super Stretch Cotton. Add a luxe, animal-friendly touch with the T.Babaton Faux Fur Collar.

Take a cue from dapper gents with a menswear-inspired piece like this T.Babaton Ryan Coat. Minimalist and modern, this coat was tailored using Italian wool and cashmere that's sleek and soft. Contrast the masculine styling of the coat with the feminine T.Babaton Finley Blouse in sheer silk georgette. Worn with the ankle-grazing T.Babaton Oscar Pant.

Longer lengths are really stealing the show this season--the Talula Eliza Cardigan, a duster-length piece in a soft cashmere, angora and lambswool blend fabric, is a lean piece that hits below the knee. To keep the look streamlined and simple, try the cardigan over the Talula Windsor Shirt (buttoned up all the way) that's tucked into the grazer-length J Brand 811 Mid-rise Skinny Jeans. The unstructured Talula Kent Blazer, in a similar earthy hue to the jeans, takes the tonal look to new levels. We also love the short-over-long look of the jacket on top of the cardigan.
