Tag Team

Welcome to the second round of our new game of tag, where our favourite style bloggers model our indispensable TNA Torres pant, then tap someone else to continue the chain.

In our previous issue, we introduced you to four awesome style bloggers who all had their fashionable way with a different colour of our TNA Torres pants. (If you missed it, you can catch up here). We left you wondering who Sabella Moore passed the torch—er—pants to. We’ll let her do the honours: “I tagged Severine Arend of Clothed Chameleon because she’s an awesome girl with a big gorgeous brain and kickin’ style.”

SAN FRANCISCO

Browsing Severine Arend’s blog is like a momentary escape to San Francisco. Her outfits and hair colour are as ever-changing as her scenic city backdrops; it's all more than enough to keep us coming back for more.

YOUR HERO? My pops
LAST CONCERT YOU WENT TO? Rammstein
WHO ARE YOU TAGGING, AND WHY? Isabel Hendrix from I Fly A Starship. She possesses a very eccentric, colorful style that she owns effortlessly. There is something magical about the way she carries herself—confident and cool. She is also one of the sweetest people I’ve met in the blogosphere.

LOS ANGELES

Isabel Hendrix’s wardrobe looks like it belongs to a gypsy from another planet. A frenzied mix of paisley, velour, plaid, florals, and patchwork, she makes each ensemble look artful and amazing.

OCCUPATION: I work for Tunnel Vision, am a stylist on the side, and I also work as a receptionist at a nail salon.
SIGN: Aries
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE IN THREE WORDS: Mixing weird patterns.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE? Asian. I lived near Chinatown in San Francisco and I thought that Chinese people were really cool, I would only wear little Chinese dresses to church. My mom told me I could dye my hair black and learn Chinese. Now I have worked at a Chinese nail salon and a Chinese massage parlor, and I still only know how to say “hello” and “handsome guy.”
NAME THREE PEOPLE, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO YOU’D WANT TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Cher, Rachel Maddow, and my mother’s brother who died before I was born.
NIGHT OR DAY PERSON? Both. It’s really hard to manage because if you’re up all day and want to wake up early you just don’t get enough sleep.
DOGS OR CATS? I like both, but I have two kittens named Monster and Frankencat
WHAT’S YOUR VICE? I really don’t think I have one...maybe soy chai tea lattés?
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOURSELF? I have really wonderful people who surround me.

FAVOURITE FICTIONAL CHARACTER: Kate Kane (Batwoman)
GUILTY PLEASURE: Watching reality TV or teen drama shows (think Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Gossip Girl…)
FAVOURITE ARTIST: Is Home Is, formerly Olsen Twins. This is my friend Mickey’s band—he is probably the most creative musician I have ever met. He is always collaborating with other musicians, and artists of all types (I’ve belly danced during his concerts before). He really gets the audience involved in the show and provides the best entertainment I’ve ever seen. He devotes his energy to having amazing artwork and talent side by side with amazing music.
WHAT BOOK IS ON YOUR NIGHTSTAND RIGHT NOW? Life Without Ed by Jenni Schaefer. It’s a book about gaining independence from eating disorders.
DRINK OF CHOICE: Tea. I also really like milk.
YOU WIN THE LOTTERY—HOW DO YOU SPEND IT? Whenever my friends want things they can’t have because of money, I always tell them I will buy it for them when I am a millionaire. So I would try to help my friends out, and then a big portion would go to charity.
DREAM VACATION: I’ve been itching to get out of the city. There is a place that my family always goes in the summer called Ghost Ranch. It is in Abiquiu, New Mexico. Georgia O’Keeffe lived there while she painted a lot so, as you can imagine, it’s very beautiful and peaceful.
FAVOURITE SONG OF ALL TIME: This is really hard. Like, really incredibly difficult. Maybe “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon. It reminds me of my family.
YOUR HERO: Rachel Maddow. Hands down. Perfect human.
LAST CONCERT YOU WENT TO: Mason Jennings in St. Paul, Minnesota, with my family while I was home for Thanksgiving.
WHO ARE YOU TAGGING, AND WHY? I would like to tag Sonja Johnson from Blackthorn. Her style is way different than mine, but I love it. In her most recent post she wore horns. Horns! So cool.
