Fall Style Stalker: Standout Looks Of The Season

OCTOBER 7, 2011 By: blizzard AND cancansoo

Now that we're into the swing of fall, we hit the streets of New York to take our favourite new season looks for a spin out on the town. Transitional fall temperatures, cool enough to start layering without having to bundle/cover up, make it the perfect time to showcase sleek styles front and centre.

From lightweight jackets, trench coats and knits to easy-to-wear dresses, ankle-length grazer pants and versatile tunics, here's our fall fashion guide to what we want to wear right now.

Above: Soft, unstructured trench coats are one of our key fall favourites. Perfect for in-between weather, the lightweight Wilfred Monsieur Drapey Trench Coat in silky cupro lycell looks amazing over slim-fitting pieces like the Talula Lacey Tank and grazer-length T.Babaton Ponti Pant.

Channel a posh British Town & Country look with this ultra-fine cashmere and wool Wilfred Salome Cape over the long and leggy Citizens of Humanity Hutton Jeans. Take off the cape to reveal the sheer silk georgette T.Babaton Tippie Blouse in a rich chestnut hue underneath.

We love the versatility and look of tunic dresses--in this rendition, we've unbuttoned the sheer silk georgette Wilfred Baye Tunic to the waist and layered it over the Wilfred Silk Slip.

Layer the all-season Wilfred Franca Dress, fashioned from a liquidy soft cupro and lyocell fabric, over the skinny wool and cashmere T.Babaton Keaton Turtleneck.

Colourblock your way into the new season by mixing neutrals with pops of colour. A colour combination we love is the minimalist T.Babaton Ryan Coat in camel--tailored from fine Italian virgin wool and cashmere--over the ankle-grazing T.Babaton Oscar Pant in dark azure.

Right, so Aritzia didn't just become like every other NYC-obsessed fashion house... How unique to have a NYC photo shoot... Have you not considered that being Canadian isn't just something to be proud of, it actually made Aritzia unique and interesting from every other line? Can we say, sold out a little?
