Trend Report: Military

AUGUST 23, 2010 By: cancansoo

Military-inspired style has been having a field day in the fashion world adding a tough, cool factor to even the girliest of outfits.

Let's be honest.  If we have to decide between wearing something that is purely utilitarian versus wearing something that simply looks great, we tend to go with the latter.  These military-esque pieces from our latest F/W '10 collections have choices that fit the bill, quite perfectly, for both so you don't have to pick one over the other.  Whether you go for a structured military coat, a lightweight army anorak/shirt-jacket (like our TNA one) or a pair of skinny cargo pants, you want options and we've got them.

The key is to pick one piece at a time to wear and let it shine - it's not about excess, it's about military precision.

How much is the community parka it looks just like the tna one but is a tad bit shorter. Also if something isn't in your size at an aritzia store or any other locations can it be ordered in, because an associate told me if there's no sizes left at any of the stores it's pretty much sold out.

I love the TNA hooded parkas - by far the best winter jackets I've ever owned...I remember a couple years ago it was made in navy blue... I haven't seen it in stores and wondering if you'll be bringing it back...I kick myself for not getting that colour when I saw it!

(Those are actually TNA cargo pants) The striped TNA raglan in that image was available but sold out really quickly.  However, there are other TNA striped raglans (striped from the chest down) that are available in stores now.

Hi do you guys know if you'll be getting more sizes in the talula military jacket? I really want one and an associate told me they were all sold out in the xxs and won't be getting anymore.

August 24, 2010 @ 12:41 PM: cancansoo

It does come in XXS - if your store is sold-out, you can ask any sales associate to order one for you and have it transfered in.  We're really sorry that the sales associate you spoke to gave you the wrong info!
