Last month the music world bid farewell to a couple of heavy weights; Hip Hop's MC Guru and Punk Rock's Malcolm McLaren. I've picked out some throwback Ear Candy to honor the cultural legacy these men of music left behind.

Left, Guru. Right Malcolm McLaren with Vivienne Westwood.
GURU
Guru's role in the golden hip hop era won't be forgotten; from his solo Jazz-Hip Hop fusion series "Jazzmatazz", to Gang Starr, his duo with DJ Premier, the MC is nothing short of legendary.
Below, a hip hop classic - Gang Starr's "Mass Appeal" (1994).
Guru died on on April 19, 2010.
MALCOLM MCLAREN
Malcolm McLaren will be remembered as the suit behind the iconic Punk Rock band The Sex Pistols who "managed them through a revolution", a controversial self-publicist and a music visionary whose output of solo music was years ahead of the curve.
Under McLaren's management, The Sex Pistols' second single was "God Save The Queen", a controversial song banned by the BBC in 1977. The video is below.
Malcolm McClaren - "Buffalo Gals"
"Buffalo Gal's was a subversive re-make of an old (racist) American Square Dance. The video introduced hip hop culture to a wider UK audience and would be sampled years later by Eminem at the beginning of "Without Me".
