ARITZIA LOVES

Olympic Spirit

OCTOBER 16, 2009 By: Aritzia

This past week has put us in the Olympic spirit.  Here at the office we've begun our official Aritzia 2010 Olympics countdown.  (Only 119 days until Opening Ceremonies!)  As the excitement builds and the torch begins to head our way, you'll hear us talk more and more about the Games   But since we're already pysched for a couple of fun reasons, we wanted to share why...

1. Park Life for Aritzia - With the 2010 Olympics being held in our backyard, Park Life for Aritzia is our answer to the big event - a fashion-forward collection inspired by Canadian athletes, West Coast culture and vintage sports graphics.  One of our favorites that just launched in stores is the Aboriginal print slouchy, long sleever - available in heather white and dark heather grey.

2. VANOC x Aritzia = The Medal Accessories - We've been a bit hush hush on this topic but the secret is finally out!  VANOC asked us to help them design the Olympic Medal Ribbons, the Scarf and the Case the actual medal sits in.  Winning athletes from around the world will take a little piece of Aritzia home with them in 2010.  Pretty cool, huh?  We're super proud that we were selected to lend a fashionable hand.  Click here to see photos of the ribbon we worked on.  More pics of the accessories to come.

The outfits are nice. They could reflect more of Canada. I am sure the items will sell very well in the stores!

LOVING all the new B.C 2010 Olympic goodies at Aritzia! FYI! Aritzia was featured in the Globe and Mail today (the community military coat) and Talula was featured on a really hot blog called "becasue I'm addicted'--- the blogger recently interned for a month at Lucky Magazine. She is based in LA!
