Theft is an ongoing problem in the entire retail industry. And Aritzia is not immune. That's why we have a number of systems in place to protect our customers' best interests.

As most theft occurs in fitting rooms, we provide extensive staff training around closely monitoring customers and their belongings in the area. This policy is intended to protect both the customer (from loss of personal items and increased prices) as well as Aritzia (from loss of revenue).

It's also why all of our stores are equipped with locking bag drawers. These drawers are for the exclusive use of our customers and their safety and security are the responsibility of Aritzia. In the fitting room area, a Sales Associate will assist a customer to lock the customer's bag within a vacant drawer. The Sales Associate will provide the customer with the one and only key, which the customer keeps until she is finished shopping. This assures the safety of the customer's belongings and lets you enjoy a hands-free shopping experience.

When given a choice between locking up a customer's belongings and having to contend with higher priced merchandise, our customers unanimously agree to lock it up.
